Eilat, located on the only land bridge connecting Asia, Europe, and Africa, faces major challenges for millions of migratory birds. Over time, natural stopover sites have degraded, forcing birds to rely on water reservoirs, gardens, farms, and other man-made habitats. This talk will explore community-based conservation efforts that protect and improve these non-natural habitats, including preventing harmful developments, creating safe wetlands, and engaging local communities to enhance diverse stopover sites for migratory birds.
